Makes Wi-Fi VoIP Handset Roaming Easier – 3GSM World

Boingo wireless will also demonstrate a version of its toolkit for
Symbian OS-based S60 smartphones. S60 is the world’s leading
smartphone platform, with more than 70 million devices already in the
Boingo’s open-source Wi-Fi toolkit is being embedded on handsets
and other mobile devices and sniffs, authenticates and connects the
device to a Wi-Fi hot spot, all without user intervention. These capabilities
enable the devices to seamlessly roam on public Wi-Fi hot spots. In
addition to the Symbian version being shown at 3GSM, the toolkit is
currently available in Linux, BREW and Windows Mobile ports.
