Adobe Shipping New Creative Suite Now
October 27th, 2003

Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE) announced today that shipments commenced for their new integrated Adobe Creative Suite for PC and Mac. It includes new full-version upgrades Adobe's market-leading creative professional software — Adobe Photoshop® CS, Adobe Illustrator® CS, Adobe InDesign® CS, and Adobe GoLive® CS. It also incorporates Acrobat® 6.0 Professional, and introduces the innovative Version Cue™ file version manager.

Adobe Creative Suite is a platform for the future of design and publishing, something creative professionals around the world can rely on to build their businesses and perfect their craft,” said Jim Heeger, senior vice president of Creative Professional Products at Adobe. “With powerful new hardware hitting the market and Adobe Creative Suite pushing the boundaries of software innovation, the technology available to the creative industries has just taken a huge leap forward.”

Adobe will announce shipment of new full-version upgrades of its market-leading creative applications later this week. Photoshop CS, the feature-packed successor to the highly popular Photoshop 7, will soon be available along with Illustrator CS, InDesign CS and GoLive CS.

We’ve been testing the Beta version of this package for the last two weeks and our professional review panel has expressed overwhelming positive feelings for the integration of all the once individual applications. While much of the familiar look and feel is the same as the most recent individual versions, the major improvements are towards integrations that most professionals have longed for. Photoshop CS with Adobe ImageReady CS®, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS and GoLive CS, all brought together with Version Cue.

Adobe Integration – How it works
To support the important role Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) has in modern Web and print production workflows, Acrobat 6.0 Professional also is a component of the Adobe

Creative Suite. Adobe Creative Suite is anchored by Version Cue, an innovative file management system that allows designers to increase productivity and meet tight deadlines. Whether designers, working alone or in teams, are looking for the most recent iteration of a file or for an older version, Version Cue enables users to visually scan image thumbnails in Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, and GoLive CS, or search metadata across version comments, keywords, author, date, and more.

As soon as we receive our review copy of CS, we will compare the full production package with our reviewer panels notes from the beta and give you a full review from a commercial users viewpoint.

A Standard Edition of Adobe Creative Suite also is available; it combines these same components, except for GoLive CS and Acrobat 6.0 Professional, to provide an advanced solution for print design and layout. forPricing and complete product information for Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS and GoLive CS can be found at:
